In 1995, New York’s Northern suburbs were a desert of thirst. Those lost souls who desired a truly “great” orange juice were left to wander in a desolate wasteland, with no oasis to be found. Recognizing the market’s void of fresh-squeezed orange juice and other quality juice products, Michael Heath began his quest. He formed BoraBora Fruit Juices in 1995. From the start, BoraBora has always had a passion for making the best juice possible.
BoraBora insists on using only the freshest ingredients available. Valencia oranges from California and Florida, whole berries from Oregon, complete tropical fruits from Central America, organic teas from India, Fiji and beyond are some examples of our standards. BoraBora ingredients collaborate to yield quite simply the freshest and best fruit juices and fresh-brewed iced teas available on the market today – bar none.
BoraBora began operations by committing to the capital and labor-intensive purchase of automatic orange juicing machines. Fresh Oranges, Grapefruits and Lemons were trucked in daily, squeezed locally and delivered immediately, yielding fresh juice that traveled far less after juicing than other dog-tired juices from Florida and elsewhere! Just think of how tired you are after driving up from Florida! The juice was bottled and quickly delivered to local bagel shops, delis and independent supermarkets where it soon became a hit. The advantage of shortening the time from juicing to retail delivery soon became evident to BoraBora’s consumers and those who watched it fly from the shelves.
Our commitment to top quality ingredients and juices remains today, as BoraBora celebrates its 12th anniversary in the New York metro market, bottling the best tasting fruit juices possible.
